Emma Boettcher

hello!

I work at the intersection of content, UX, and academia. Can plain language, accessible interfaces and intuitive information architectures smooth someone's path to a Nobel Prize? Absolutely.

Currently, I'm a web projects and content specialist at MIT, where I work with subject matter experts to simplify and structure the information presented to faculty and staff conducting research. I supplement their expertise with my own: analytics reports, user research, and years of experience writing content that people can understand quickly and correctly.

Previously, I've been a user experience librarian, product owner, and Jeopardy! champion. I earned my master's in information science from UNC-Chapel Hill and my bachelor's from Princeton University.

Some of my favorite projects are on this site. If you'd like to get in touch to learn more, you can find me on LinkedIn.
